Role & seniority: Hardware/SOC Validation Engineer; senior-level (10+ years’ experience; MS/ME/BE in Electronics/Communication).
Stack/tools: x86 Debug Tools, Design for Test (DFT), DFT/JTAG 1149.x, BMC; Windows and Linux; test automation tools; scripting in Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl; test harnesses/environments; lab infrastructure setup and debugging; familiarity with virtualization (VMs) and multi-boot systems.
Own multi-functional validation of AMD Silicon Debug Tools products from pre-silicon to post-silicon delivery; coordinate debug across silicon, firmware, hardware, and software teams.
Create and execute test strategy/plan; lead QA tasks to enhance product quality; deliver regular program progress updates.
Debug, triage, and drive issues to closure; develop/test cases; build automation/tools; mentor team and ensure stakeholders’ testing requirements are met.
10+ years’ relevant experience in product development/validation or systems engineering with hardware-software ecosystems.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities; excellent written/spoken communication.
Proficiency with test automation, scripting (Shell/Python/Perl/Ruby), and test tooling; experience with Windows/Linux; capability to configure and maintain test labs.
Domain expertise in silicon validation, DFT/JTAG, and computer architecture; ability to lead tasks independently.
