Role & seniority: Lead/System Debug Engineer – Server Validation (Senior/Technical Leader) in AMD’s post-silicon debug team.
Stack/tools: System-level and silicon debug across OS, firmware, silicon, and hardware; platform/system-level debug; familiarity with PCIe, CXL, x86, SoC design, memory, RAS, power management; OS, device drivers, BIOS interactions; debug tooling, scripts, and methodology development; cross-functional collaboration across global teams.
Debug and drive root-cause/resolution of issues found during silicon bring-up, post-Si validation, and production phases of SOC programs.
Lead complex debug efforts, manage risks/priorities, and ensure on-time, high-quality issue resolution; publish indicators to improve throughput.
Communicate program status with customers/executives and drive technical innovation across triage, tooling, and process improvements; coordinate across global teams.
15+ years in validation/debug across OS, firmware, silicon, and hardware
Deep understanding of PC industry buses/stack (PCIe, CXL) and x86/SoC architectures
System-level debug, OS/driver/BIOS interactions; strong analytical/problem-solving
Excellent communication, organization, and ability to manage multiple workstreams to tight deadlines
Experience in technical program management and datacenter technologies
