Role & seniority: Design Quality Engineer (mid-level) based in Reynosa; reports to Quality Manager.
Stack/tools: APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, Control Plan, PFMEA; 8D problem-solving; GD&T; familiarity with Six Sigma concepts; Automotive industry exposure desirable.
Ensure customer requirements are met via validation planning and product assurance planning; determine validation requirements and manage manufacturing change requests.
Communicate/resolve validation with customers; participate in Engineering Gate Review Process.
Initiate and lead corrective actions; support problem-solving for existing and new product designs; assist engineers and manufacturing sites as needed.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; intermediate English.
Experience with APQP/PPAP, SPC, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans; GD&T; 8D leadership; multitasking and prioritization; schedule management.
Automotive industry experience; Six Sigma tools; familiarity with Tier 1 requirements.

Reporting to the Quality Manager the Design Quality Engineer’s role involves: What a typical day looks like: Ensure that the customer requirements are met and demonstrated though Validation planning Product assurance planning Asist in determining validation requirements and manufacturing change requests. Communicate and resolve validation with customers. Participating in the Engineering Gate Review Process. Experience with key tools: APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, Control Plan, and PFMEA. Experience in 8D leadership. Problem-solving analysis (proposing solutions). Experience with multitasking, prioritization skills, and schedule management. Experience with GD&T. Experience in Automotive Industry (desirable) The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Intermediate English Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Initiates and leads the corrective action process as required and assists with the problem-solving process and tools. (i.e. 6Sigma, and Tier 1 requirements). Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new product designs, Supports manufacturing sites regarding existing product quality and helps to resolve issues.
