Role & seniority: Wireless Software QA Test Engineer (mid to senior level) on Tesla’s Wireless Connectivity team.
Stack/tools: Wireless technologies (Cellular/BT/Wi‑Fi); test planning and execution; test automation (Python, Shell, Git, Jenkins); debugging and analytics; network/tools (Wireshark, iPerf, FTS, Ellisys OTA sniffer); collaboration with SW, Antenna, HW, and System Software teams.
Develop test plans for Wireless Connectivity evaluation in vehicle and bench setups; validate functionality, performance, and IOP.
Execute tests, document root-cause, and track bugs across internal, beta, field, and vendor testing; contribute to automation and data analytics.
Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize performance and drive improvements, sharing knowledge and best practices; ensure high-quality product delivery.
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent proven expertise; strong written/oral English and Chinese.
Experience with SDLC/STLC and QA processes; test planning for Wireless technologies (Cellular/BT/Wi‑Fi).
Working knowledge in at least one domain: Cellular protocol (5G/LTE), Bluetooth profiles, or Wi‑Fi (802.11 families); conformance/testing familiarity; basic automation experience (Python, Shell, Git, Jenkins).
BT/Wi‑Fi co-existence testing; BT IOT testing tools (FTS, Ellisys OTA sniffer); Wi‑Fi throughput/range testing (Wireshark, iPerf).

THE ROLE
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Wireless Software QA Test Engineer who will be part of Wireless Connectivity team that is focused on delivering high quality Wireless technologies on various Tesla vehicle platforms (S, 3, X, Y …). You will be responsible for validating Cellular/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth wireless technologies in Tesla vehicle platforms.
