What You Will Do
The Software Test Engineer is responsible for evaluating the testing requirements, creating new test cases, and test schedules for new software developments. Primary responsibilities include the execution of test cases and scenarios within the integrated test environment at the customer location. Reproduce and document the defects, and report the findings. Ensure established methodologies and standards are used during testing. In addition, you will be the face of Quest Global to our customer. Listen to customer’s problems, and build on the experiences you have personally had, then develop innovative ways to solve their engineering problems.
Hardware-Software Integration Testing at Sub-System level of embedded vehicle controls systems
Understand testing requirements, write test cases for sub-systems in DOORS, generate results and prepare for review. Utilize an integrated test environment and physical hardware at customer location.
Interact with multiple stakeholders at all the levels (Design Engineers/Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Engineering Managers, etc.)
Reproduce and create defects for issues discovered during system test
Perform regression testing to validate the resolution of any software or system defects.
Track issues, risks, and action items

1-3 years of experience in software testing
Must be able to climb stairs to safely board vehicles and perform analysis on board operating vehicles and in test cells
Ability and willingness to work "hands-on" in test labs and on heavy equipment vehicles with high HP (1000 KVA), medium voltage (2 KV) and high current (10 KA) systems
Ability to effectively use DOOR’s, Clearquest, Electrical Multi-Meters, Variable Resistance ‘Decade” Boxes, MS Office 365 (& associated apps.) 422/232 CAN or ethernet communication protocols & Data Capture Tools
Strong communication skills in both Portuguese and English, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Strong analytic skills including Trouble Shooting and Root Cause Analysis
Like to work in a fast paced, creative environment
Familiarity with heavy equipment vehicles is highly preferred
Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Contagem, MG, Brazil.
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
