Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SDET with strong expertise in automation and backend/API testing.
The role involves building and enhancing automation frameworks, validating backend systems, and working closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java Perform API and backend testing for RESTful services Validate microservices-based systems and backend integrations Implement and execute automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with development teams on test strategy, coverage, and quality improvements Participate in test planning, estimation, and defect analysis Ensure high standards of quality across releases through automation-first practices Continuously improve test processes, tools, and frameworks
Mandatory Skills & Experience
6 - 8 years of experience in Automation / SDET roles Strong hands-on experience with Java for automation Solid experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum development practices Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing deliverables
Good To Have
Experience testing microservices or event-driven architectures Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, K6, LoadRunner) Experience with mocking tools (Mockito, WireMock, Microcks)
Education
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
