We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Functional Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of software applications.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating business requirements, executing test cases, and ensuring that software solutions meet user expectations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and functional requirements, user stories, and specifications Design, write, and execute functional test cases and test scenarios Perform manual testing of web and/or mobile applications Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools Validate end-to-end business workflows and user journeys Conduct regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT support testing Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners Ensure test coverage and traceability to requirements Prepare test execution reports and quality metrics Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning meetings
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in functional / manual testing Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC Experience in creating test cases, test scenarios, and test data Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, ALM) Knowledge of different testing types (Functional, Regression, UAT, Smoke) Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenario
