Must-have skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience in electrical/computer engineering

  • Proficiency in Python and C++ for test automation and data analysis

  • Understanding of server platform architecture and industry standards; familiarity with JEDEC specifications

Senior Validation Engineer

Location: Suwanee, GA 30024 | Reporting To: Sr. Director, Engineering

Industry: Semiconductor, integrated circuits, enterprise-class memory products | Employees: 700

Also open to Staff, Principal, and Senior Principal level candidates

Engineers will be on specialized teams within either Memory (DDR5), Power (PMIC), or PCIe/CXL

Responsibilities

  • Engineering characterization, failure analysis - ensuring reliability, performance, & compatibility
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute validation plans
  • Building validation hardware and implementing automation to ensure quality standards
  • Designing and running experiments, analyzing data, and presenting findings
  • Performing testing and validating early silicon against industry specifications
  • Investigating and resolving issues identified during testing to identify the root cause of failures
  • Measuring data transfer rates, latency, power consumption, and other parameters
  • Collaborating with hardware and software teams to resolve validation/performance issues

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience, background in electrical or computer engineering
  • Strong background with signal integrity and equalization

Strong experience with one of the following for validation and debugging: PCIe and CXL interfaces, power management/components (PMIC), Memory Systems (DDR2 - DDR5) Proficiency with Python and C++ programming for test automation, data analysis Experience with firmware and/or BIOS development is a plus Understanding of server platform architecture and industry standards Experience with testing and validation methodologies Experience with JEDEC specifications

Compensation

  • $165K - $225K + 15% Annual Bonus + Equity
