Job Description
You will be the Production Test Engineer (Missile Assembly) (ATE) for the Missile Assembly team. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing automated test equipment, manufacturing test planning, and electro‑mechanical integration to support Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Production Test Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support to ensure the successful production of missiles. You will play a critical role in supporting the development of automated test equipment, preparing test procedures, and troubleshooting test anomalies.
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
Supporting the development of automated test equipment and manufacturing test planning Preparing test procedures from engineering and conducting detailed failure analysis Evaluating electrical test results and developing root‑cause and corrective/preventative actions Utilizing statistical data analysis for trend analysis and performing test anomaly troubleshooting and fault resolution Interpreting engineering data and supporting electro‑mechanical integration

Desired Skills
Knowledge / experience with (1) electronic circuit design, (2) automated test equipment & software design, (3) evaluating electrical test results, (4) conducting detailed failure analysis, (5) developing and implementing root cause and corrective / preventative actions, (6) utilizing statistical data analysis for trend analysis, and (7) Thermal and Vibration testing and equipment.
Previous experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, Visual C or Visual Basic, and National Instrument -Windows CVI, Test-Stand and NI -View software.
Strong hands-on assembly / disassembly / troubleshooting skills of mechanical, electrical, industrial and/or home equipment and products.
Familiarity with manufacturing software DELMIA Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Systems Applications & Products (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools in a manufacturing environment.
