Role & seniority: Test Development Engineer (mid-level to senior; individual contributor leading test-equipment acquisition and test software development)

Lead acquisition and qualification of new test equipment (SOW, RFQ, supplier reviews, equipment acceptance) aligned with industrialization timing

Ensure test equipment compliance with product quality, safety, cybersecurity, and customer requirements; support test coverage analysis and flawless product launches
Electrical/Computer Engineering background (Bachelor or equivalent)

As a Test Development Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and implementing advanced test processes that bring innovative products to life in mass production. Your Role: Lead the acquisition of new test-equipment (Statement of work, Request for quotation, supplier nomination, design reviews, Equipment acceptance at supplier) and ensure compliance with industrialization timing. Be responsible to develop and optimize test software/programs for functional & electrical tests Cooperate with the Aptiv manufacturing location to install, debug and release the test-equipment (including Test Software development, strain measurements, process capability studies, Environmental Health and Safety review / release). Establish documentation and provide training for test-equipment and process in accordance to APTIV guidelines Ensure test equipment compliance in terms of product quality, test requirements (Functional safety, CyberSecuirty, customer requirements), and costs Facilitate test coverage analysis process, ensure appropriate test coverage for the assigned test process Support product development team and collaborate closely with Lead Manufacturing Engineer to ensure flawless launches by applying and supporting tools like (P-FMEA, Error proofing, Test coverage analysis, Six Sigma) Your background: Bachelor degree or similar with relevant work experiences (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering) Proficient software development skills in one or more of the following software languages: National Instruments NI LabView, NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand, C++, C Basic Project management capabilities Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical design for test tooling Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, LVDS, Flex-Ray, Broad@Reach and flashing concepts of memory devices Knowledge in 6-sigma-for-Test and statistical methods Good problem solving capability, including hands on capability for S/W debugging.
