About The Role
We are hiring a high-ownership Automation Engineer Intern with hands-on exposure to Playwright and a strong drive to build reliable, scalable automation for real product environments. You’ll work closely with QA, Dev, and Product Engineering teams to strengthen automated test coverage and contribute to release quality at scale.
This is not a passive internship — you will be expected to learn fast, contribute fast, and deliver work that matters.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python). Convert manual test scenarios into end-to-end automation suites for UI and API validation. Execute automation pipelines, debug failures, and contribute actively to defect analysis. Collaborate with developers and QA leads to define test scope, coverage, and execution strategy. Contribute to CI/CD-based test execution workflows and reporting. Document frameworks, reusable utilities, and automation standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline. Hands-on exposure to Playwright (academic, project, or internship). Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python. Basic understanding of REST APIs, DOM, selectors, and web testing. Familiarity with Git, agile workflows, and debugging basics. Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to take ownership.
Preferred Skills (Good To Have)
Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer, or other automation frameworks. Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.). Knowledge of reporting tools (Allure, Mochawesome, etc.). Comfort with Jira, TestRail, or any test management tool. Understanding of assertion libraries (Jest, Chai, Expect).
