Join our unique Edge Platform DevTest team The Edge Platform DevTest team is responsible for qualifying the core features of edge servers. The edge servers are the web/caching/streaming distributed servers that form the Akamai Cloud. Partner with the best Be part of the team responsible for testing the software running Akamai's world-wide network i.e. world's largest distributed systems. Our software is a combination of many different technologies. It is a web server, a web client, a distributed caching engine, and much more. It provides a scalable, undefined tolerant solution to websites sites for handling their traffic.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for

• Scoping out comprehensive test plans based on design requirements and code changes.
• Executing tests on a large-scale distributed test network.
• Verifying the server using white-box/black-box/functional/stress testing techniques.
• Investigating and analysing root causes of technical issues / performance bottlenecks.
• Setting up test bed environment for regression testing /performance testing.
• Maintaining/enhancing/developing test tools and automation frameworks.

To be successful in this role you will

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and excellent understanding of Automation Frameworks, Data Structures, Computer Networks, Operating System concepts
• Have proficiency in at least one programming language (C, C++, Python, Perl) and exposure to working in Unix/Linux
• Have exposure/interest working with internet technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc and be passionate solving large scale distributed systems problems
• Enjoy working as a team, collaborating and solving problems with others and
• Be passionate to understand, learn, and dissect new technologies quickly and Pay meticulous attention to detail and have excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
