Top 3 responsibilities

  • Review requirements, perform gap analyses, develop test plans/cases/scripts, execute tests, log defects, and document results

  • Create QA reports, support regression testing, review vendor QA deliverables, contribute to QA Gate reports and lessons learned

  • Manage ALM configuration, onboarding/offboarding, maintain QA process documentation; lead QA strategy and drive framework improvements

Must-have skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

  • 3–6 years in IT QA/testing, defect tracking, and coordinating QA in transformational projects

  • Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities; knowledge of databases, basic scripting, and integration testing

Nice-to-haves

  • ALM administration, vendor-managed QA services, ERP systems, retail domain experience

  • Exposure to performance testing and automation testing

  • Additional notes: Collaborative, matrix-organization experience; willing to undergo background checks as needed

Full Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an IT Quality Assurance Analyst on a permanent basis on our Technology team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK. Join our team as a Quality Assurance Analyst and play a pivotal role in driving excellence across FCL’s systems and processes. As a trusted QA expert, you’ll collaborate with project teams and business leaders to ensure flawless system testing, deliver actionable insights, and champion continuous improvement—all while shaping best practices that enhance performance and innovation.

What you’ll do

  • Review project requirements from a QA perspective, perform gap analysis, and collaborate with business and technical leads to close gaps.
  • Develop test plans, cases, and scripts; upload details into ALM; execute prioritized tests; log defects; and document results and evidence.
  • Create QA reports, support regression testing, review vendor QA deliverables, and contribute to QA Gate reports and lessons learned sessions.
  • Manage ALM system configuration, resource onboarding/offboarding, and maintain documentation for QA processes.
  • Lead QA strategy development, monitor projects for framework improvements, and provide feedback to enhance QA practices across FCL and subsidiaries.

Who you are

You are looking for a career in Information Technology and

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience in IT Quality Assurance/Testing programs and teams, including experience in managing QA in transformational projects and using common Defect Tracking Tools.
  • Have strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of database, basic scripting, and integration testing. Exposure to performance or functional automation testing is preferred.
  • Demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, results orientation, and a collaborative approach to working in a matrix environment. Preference will be given to those with working system administration knowledge of ALM, vendor managed QA services, ERP system knowledge, and retail domain expertise.
