Role & seniority: Quality Engineer (QE), reports to Quality Manager; mid-level engineering role supporting facility quality and continuous improvement.
Stack/tools: quality management system and documentation; testing/inspection methods; measurement systems; risk management; data analysis; calibration basics; problem-solving toolset (CAPA, root cause analysis); audits (planning, execution, reporting); training material development; blueprint/drawing interpretation; supplier and customer quality practices.
Develop and manage quality programs; track, analyze, report, and drive problem solving.
Establish and ensure product/process quality, including planning, material control, sampling, and measurement systems; monitor compliance with standards.
Lead or participate in root cause investigations, corrective actions, process improvements, new product/process introductions, and quality documentation.
Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, risk management, and ethics.
Ability to analyze data, apply quantitative methods, and use quality tools for process improvement.
Experience with audits, CAPA, problem-solving, and collaboration with production/operations.

Provide, implement and administer quality control, process and continuous improvement programs within the facility. Quality Engineer (QE) works directly for the Quality Manager and supports the facility, using various methods of testing and inspection. The Quality Engineers is involved in developing and implementing systems to ensure products or services meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. This position may include a mixture of the functions below to be determined upon hire.

Maintain a complete knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and risk management, including key terms and definitions, modeling, systems design, assessment tools, and reporting.
Manage, plan, control, implement, and assure process and/or project application, readiness, and requirements.
Completely understand and employ problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques, including knowledge of management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.
Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
Identify, acquire, and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.
Understand and execute the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up.
Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
Review suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
Compile, write, and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
Understand and execute basic calibration determinations and functions.
Monitor and test quality of processes to ensure compliance with standards, identify issues, recommend and help implement solutions and create quality documentation.
Work with production and operation teams to problem solve quality and/or production related issues to reduce internal non-conformances, prevent external non-conformances and improve first pass yield.
Participate in and help drive root cause and corrective actions investigations and implementations.
Assist in new product introduction and new process development
Assist in new process introductions, including specification review, gap analysis and PFMEA activity
Ability to interpret blueprint and drawings.
