Job Description

The QA Engineer will be a part of BNI’s Global Information Technology Team and will primarily have responsibilities over the discovery of bugs, writing test cases, creating test artifacts, executing functional and regression tests for both mobile and web applications.  The ideal candidate should have strong attention to details as well as comprehensive understanding of agile testing and testing methodologies.

The QA Engineer will work closely with developers located within the BNI office in Bangalore, as well as all levels of the BNI Management Teams.   This is an unparalleled opportunity to become part of a growing team and a growing global organization.  High performers will have significant growth opportunities available to them.

Key Skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in test automation using Python scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Python for developing automation scripts and utilities.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and experience automating API tests (e.g. using Python requests/pytest).
• Proficiency in SQL for complex data validation, querying, and reporting.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience working effectively within a Kanban/Agile process.
• Strong experience with Git and version control workflows (e.g., branching, merging, pull requests, using GitHub).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integrating automated tests into the pipeline.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Willingness to continuously learn and quickly adapt to multiple technologies and applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) to all testing activities.
• Execute both Manual and Automated Testing with a high degree of proficiency.
• Ensure timely completion of test execution and delivery of results according to project timelines.
• Identify, meticulously report, and actively track software defects and issues through resolution.
