The Role of the Test Automation Engineer is to: design, build, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. To fulfil this role, the Test Automation Engineer applies appropriate automation technologies and frameworks to meet the short- and long-term goals of the testing team.
You will work closely with the Test Automation Lead/Head of Test Automation/Head of QA to define THE strategy and process, bringing automation in line with existing functional aspect of the test effort.
You will be responsible for creation, execution and maintenance of automated scripts.
In addition, the position is responsible for creating metrics and increasing test coverage using the automated systems.
Key Responsibilities
Bachelors or master’s degrees in engineering or science related fields. Areas of study may include Network Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Management Information Systems, and Quality Assurance. 5+ years’ experience in test automation. Programming, system administration, or database administration experience is a plus. UFT/QTP certification ISTQB qualification for Automation Selenium with any of the languages (Java, Ruby, Javascript, C#, PHP, Python) Protractor Cucumber/SpecFlow (desirable) Appium, Calabash Robot Framework SoapUI/Postman Use Git for source code management and control on a Git repo such as Github, Bit Bucket, TFS (DevOps Azure) HTML & CSS XML & JSON CI – Jenkins, Bamboo, Team City
