Job Description We are seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in non-functional testing, especially performance observability and chaos engineering. This role involves the full testing lifecycle, from strategy design to hands-on execution and monitoring. You will work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and cross-functional squads to ensure high performance, reliability, and resilience of critical systems across product domains. Performance Testing & Observability Own the Performance Testing and Observability framework across the product domain. Develop and implement observability and test strategies with Domain Architects and Engineering Managers. Design and execute performance tests on Microservices (REST/SOAP APIs) and FrontEnd layers. Create and maintain performance dashboards using tools like Grafana and Prometheus. Ensure performance requirements are met for all deployed software solutions. Work with development squads to identify, reproduce, and resolve performance issues, including those reported by customers. Chaos Engineering & Failure Simulation Design and run controlled failure simulations (e.g., service outages, latency injection, packet loss). Automate chaos testing scenarios and report findings with actionable insights. Monitor system behavior under stress and conduct root cause analysis of bottlenecks. Collaboration & Process Improvement Act as a performance coach and subject matter expert across engineering squads. Participate in test planning, test strategy documentation, and quality assurance activities. Collaborate in defect triage and prioritization discussions.
