TPG is seeking a motivated, dependable and safe Shift Lead to support the driving team, facilitate vehicle testing, test vehicles and their systems for a manufacturer and marketer of medium and heavy trucks in Las Vegas, NV. SHIFT LEAD PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with employee training to include work orders, driver feedback, vehicle preparation, safety checking, safe driving practices, trailers and test plans. Conduct driver audits and provide coaching to drivers when needed. Hold regular safety huddles and communicate pertinent safety and test information to the team. Familiar with customer routes and able to train others on work order software. Maintain exemplary log keeping and driving record with minimal electronic logging devices (ELD) violations. Willing and able to complete all assigned tasks and meet goals. Other duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate and evaluate medium and heavy vehicles-including manual transmission Class 6 and Class 8 tractor-trailers and other commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) - in wide range of testing conditions to collect data and provide detailed performance feedback. Execute approved durability test schedules in accordance with established procedures. Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate Driver Test Reports, documenting the test results, feedback and performance of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) with precision and attention to detail. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections as required. Perform other related driving/vehicle preparation work as required (such as vehicle shuttling, detailing, light maintenance, washing, etc.). Operate vehicles safely in adverse and extreme conditions, including severe winter weather, extreme heat, mountainous terrain, and icy roadways. Follow all company and customer policies and procedures. Travel periodically to perform over-the-road testing and vehicle transfers as required.
