We are looking for an experienced Manual QA Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in testing web and/or mobile applications. The candidate should have strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, test planning, and defect management, and should be able to work independently with developers, business analysts, and product owners.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing. Execute manual test cases and document results. Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar. Participate in requirement review and design review meetings. Validate data using SQL queries when required. Perform API testing using tools like Postman (basic level). Ensure quality deliverables within timelines. Mentor junior QA team members and review their work. Work closely with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environment.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in Manual Testing. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies. Expertise in writing Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Reports. Experience in Web and/or Mobile application testing. Knowledge of Defect Life Cycle. Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, etc.). Good knowledge of SQL for data validation. Understanding of Agile/Scrum process. Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Good to Have
Basic knowledge of Automation (Selenium, Cypress, etc.). Experience in API testing (Postman, SoapUI). Experience in Banking / Insurance / E-commerce / Healthcare domains (if applicable). Show more Show less
