About The Role
As a Test Lead – P&C Insurance Underwriting, you will make an impact by leading end-to-end testing for underwriting platforms such as DuckCreek, Guidewire, or similar systems. You will be a valued member of the Insurance Technology Delivery team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
In This Role, You Will
Own and drive testing for DuckCreek, Guidewire, or other P&C underwriting applications. Lead and mentor teams across onsite and offshore locations. Manage all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including planning, execution, and reporting. Define and implement test automation strategies and frameworks. Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related activities and stakeholder communication.
Work model
This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week onsite at our client location in Charlotte, NC. We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible and support a healthy work-life balance through our wellbeing programs.
What You Need To Have To Be Considered
Strong understanding of P&C Insurance Underwriting processes and workflows. Over 10+ years of experience in software testing, including 8+ years specializing in testing for Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Underwriting systems. Hands-on experience with DuckCreek, Guidewire, or similar platforms (Policy, Billing, Claims modules preferred). Experience in platform migration and upgrade projects. Expertise in test automation strategy, framework design, and execution. Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright) and CI/CD integration. Proven ability to lead teams in onsite-offshore delivery models. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
