Manual QA Tester – Live Broadcast Application

Position: Manual QA Tester

Location: Remote

Working hours: Aligned with US East Coast (EST/EDT), 40–50 hours per week

Client: Live broadcast application used by TV presenters during election coverage Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Manual QA Tester to support a team responsible for a mission-critical live broadcast application used on television during election coverage.

This project requires high reliability, data accuracy, and production-level attention to detail, as any issue may immediately impact live broadcasts.

Responsibilities

Test the application in staging and production environments, ensuring data accuracy in real-time conditions. Verify backend functionality and API integrations (REST and potentially real-time) from an end-user perspective. Create and maintain test cases and test scenarios covering critical workflows. Log, report, and track defects in tools such as JIRA. Collaborate closely with the backend team and client to resolve issues and verify fixes. Participate in daily updates, demos, and client meetings. Support the team in maintaining high-quality standards and production stability for live operations.

Requirements

Required

Experience in manual testing of web applications or backend systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to detect issues in mission-critical environments. Experience with defect tracking and test documentation tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.). Ability to work in a fast-paced live environment and collaborate with developers and client teams. Good English communication skills (B2 level) for reporting and team interaction. Availability to work US East Coast hours (EST/EDT).

Nice To Have

Experience testing business-critical or live systems. Basic understanding of Node.js, Redis, and API concepts for testing purposes. Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies. Show more Show less
