Location: Remote (Europe)
Working hours: Aligned with US East Coast (EST/EDT), 40–50 hours per week
Client: Live broadcast application used by TV presenters during election coverage
Rate: 30-40$/h
Manual QA Tester - Live Broadcast / Data-Driven Application Project duration: Up to 1 year Location: remote/b2b Working hours: Aligned with US East Coast (EST/EDT) Project Overview The project involves a mission-critical application used during live television broadcasts for election coverage. The application enables presenters to display dynamic, real-time data such as results, statistics, and charts. Due to the live broadcast nature, the project requires high reliability, data accuracy, and production-level attention to detail, as any issue could immediately impact the broadcast.
Responsibilities
Perform manual testing of the application in staging and production environments Verify data accuracy and its correct presentation in real-time Test application functionality, UI, navigation, filters, and stability Validate backend functionality and API integrations (REST / real-time) from an end-user perspective Create and maintain test cases and scenarios for critical workflows Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA or similar Collaborate closely with developers and the client to resolve and verify issues Participate in team meetings, demos, and project updates Support the team in maintaining application stability during live broadcasts
Requirements
Must have
Minimum 5 years of experience in manual testing of web applications or backend systems Experience testing applications with large, dynamic data sets Experience working on mission-critical or live projects Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy Experience creating test documentation and using defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar) Understanding of charts, statistics, and correct data presentation Basic knowledge of load testing and collaboration with developers in analyzing results Good English communication skills (minimum B2) Availability to work US East Coast hours (EST/EDT)
