Role & seniority: Manual QA Tester (required 3+ years of back-end/manual testing); mid-to-senior level.
Stack/tools: manual testing for fintech/web apps; API testing (Postman, Swagger or similar); SQL for back-end validation; test case/scripts/data creation; defect tracking (TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, etc.); regression testing; SDLC/Agile experience; collaboration with automation (Selenium, Appium) considered a plus.
Plan, design, and execute comprehensive manual testing strategies for fintech, reporting, and web applications to ensure quality and reliability.
Perform API testing, write and execute test cases, report defects, and validate data integrity via database queries.
Maintain test documentation (plans, cases, reports), conduct regression tests, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to deliver quality software.
3+ years in manual testing, especially back-end testing
Experience testing RESTful APIs; strong SQL data validation
Test case creation, defect identification/tracking, test planning
Familiarity with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, etc.)

What to expect on this role The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual testing, particularly in testing reporting and web applications. While expertise in manual testing is crucial, knowledge and experience with automation testing are highly preferred.
Proven Experience: At least 3 years of experience in manual testing (back-end)
Manual Testing: Plan, design, and execute comprehensive manual testing strategies for fintech, reporting and web applications to ensure their quality and reliability
API Testing: Strong experience testing RESTful APIs manually or using tools such as Postman, Swagger or similar
Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL (or similar) with ability to write queries for back-end validations and data integrity checks
Test Case Creation: Develop detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data to cover various testing scenarios
Defect Identification: Identify and report software defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues efficiently
Bug Tracking: Experience with test management systems such as TestRail, Zephyr, Azure DevOps test plans or similar
Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality
Test Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
Automation Integration: Collaborate with the automation testing team to integrate automated tests into the testing process
Understanding of Back-end systems: Strong knowledge of how back-end services interact with databases, APIs and external systems is a must
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure high-quality software delivery
Analytical Skills: Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to identify and report bugs, issues, production incidents
Understanding of SDLC and Agile Methodologies: Experience using project management systems such as JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar
Qualifications and Tech Proficiency Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 3+ years of professional experience in manual testing Strong expertise in testing fintech, reporting and web applications Proficiency in creating and executing test plans and test cases Familiarity with testing methodologies, test management tools, and defect tracking systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Knowledge and experience in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar would be considered an advantage Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
