We are seeking a skilled Performance Tester to design, execute, and analyse performance tests that ensure our systems meet required standards for speed, stability, scalability, and reliability under load. The successful candidate will work closely with development, QA, and business teams to identify performance bottlenecks, provide actionable insights, and help deliver high-quality digital solutions with an excellent user experience.
Key Responsibilities Performance Testing & Analysis Develop, implement, and maintain performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios aligned with business and technical requirements. Conduct load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing by simulating high volumes of concurrent users. Build workload models and define test parameters based on SLAs and performance objectives. Analyse performance metrics including response times, throughput, latency, and resource utilisation. Identify, troubleshoot, and document performance issues and system bottlenecks. Perform benchmarking and trend analysis to support performance improvements.
Tools, Automation & Execution Execute performance tests using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, or Gatling. Ensure end-to-end automated performance testing is implemented and maintained. Use version control systems to manage test scripts and assets. Prepare and manage test data requirements to ensure availability for execution. Ensure scripts are executed consistently and evidence of testing is captured and stored in the appropriate tools.
Defect Management & Collaboration Log, track, and manage performance-related defects using bug tracking tools. Investigate defects to identify root causes and impacted downstream systems. Ensure defect SLAs are agreed, monitored, and adhered to. Collaborate with development and QA teams to resolve performance issues efficiently.
