About the Role We are looking for a QA / SDET Manager to lead our Quality Engineering function. This role requires a balance of technical depth, people leadership, and strategic thinking. You will be responsible for elevating quality standards, accelerating delivery velocity, mentoring the team, and introducing modern practices including the use of AI to improve requirements clarity, test coverage, and automation efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role with high visibility and strong cross-functional impact. Responsibilities Quality Strategy & Ownership Define and own the end-to-end quality strategy for Clicklease products. Ensure quality is built in early through clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and testable designs. Establish quality metrics and dashboards (automation coverage, defect leakage, release readiness). AI-Enabled Quality Practices

Apply AI tools to

• Create and refine quality requirement documents
• Generate, validate, and optimize test cases
• Improve test automation productivity and maintainability
• Coach the team on effective, responsible, and repeatable use of AI in QA workflows.
• Test Automation & Engineering Excellence

Lead the design and evolution of automation frameworks using tools such as

• Selenium
• BrowserStack
• API and backend testing tools
• Ensure tests are reliable, scalable, and well-integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Promote clean code, reusable test patterns, and maintainable automation architecture.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of QA Engineers and SDETs.
• Raise the team to best-in-class testing practices while increasing delivery velocity.
• Perform coaching, code reviews, career development planning, and performance management.
• Lead hiring and onboarding of QA talent as needed.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations.
• Help translate business and compliance requirements into clear, testable acceptance criteria.
• Act as a quality advocate during planning, execution, and release decisions.
• Technical Execution
• Remain hands-on with test automation, frameworks, and tooling.
• Architect and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, integration, and regression layers.
• Lead white-box, black-box, and gray-box testing strategies.

Oversee testing at every layer of our stack

Frontend: Angular

API: RESTful services, integration workflows Ensure test environments, data setups, and pipelines function reliably with CI/CD. Leverage AI tools to accelerate test development, data generation, analysis, and maintenance. Ensure full coverage across functional, non-functional, performance, security, and smoke testing. Process & Quality Governance Define and enforce QA best practices, coding standards, and documentation requirements. Develop and maintain a scalable automation testing framework. Ensure test cases, defects, and outcomes are properly documented and communicated. Utilize modern QA platforms including Selenium, BrowserStack, and other industry-standard tools. Support release readiness activities including go/no-go decisions, quality gates, and post-deployment verification. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in QA, SDET, or software engineering roles. 3+ years in a leadership or management capacity overseeing QA/SDET teams. Expert-level proficiency in Selenium, BrowserStack, and other automation tools. Strong experience with Java, Angular, PostgreSQL, and testing complex distributed systems. Deep understanding of front-end, back-end, API, and database testing methodologies.
