QA/QC Specialist - Data Center
Job Description
The QA/QC Specialist ensures that all electrical installations and associated construction activities for mission-critical data center projects comply with contract documents, specifications, quality standards, and commissioning requirements. This role is central to maintaining strict adherence to quality expectations, reducing rework, enabling smooth commissioning, and ensuring the facility meets hyperscale-level reliability standards.
Responsibilities
Maintain detailed reports, inspection logs, test documentation, equipment data sheets, and commissioning-related records. Participate in constructability reviews and provide quality-focused input to reduce the risk of rework. Support vendor qualification and evaluation activities when specialty systems or materials are involved, referencing quality and compliance expectations as outlined. Conduct daily field inspections for electrical installations including conduit, wiring, terminations, grounding, equipment mounting, labeling, and testing activities. Validate work is performed per NEC, NFPA, project specifications, and hyperscale client standards. Collaborate with the Project Manager for weekly status updates, issue logs, and integration with project controls.
Essential Skills
3–7 years of electrical construction experience, preferably on mission-critical projects such as data centers, semiconductor facilities, or industrial plants. Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and data center owner standards. Experience reading and interpreting electrical one-lines, schematics, and installation drawings. Familiarity with commissioning sequencing (L1–L5), testing standards, and turnover documentation requirements. Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, Autodesk Build/BIM360, and Bluebeam.
