QA Automation Engineer (Senior)

SMX Pay Rate (High): $74.18/hr

SMX Pay Rate (Low): $70.47/hr

Position SummaryThe QA Automation Engineer shall ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of enterprise application systems through comprehensive testing strategies.Technical & Functional ResponsibilitiesOwns (Responsible)

• Test strategy, plans/cases/scripts; automation framework
• Functional, regression, integration, performance/security test execution
• Defect management; quality metrics; release-readiness recommendation

Supports (but does not deploy)

• Provides test evidence for PM/DOE gate decisions
• Coordinates with Dev/DevOps for fixes and re-tests; DevOps handles deployments

Technology Required

• Test automation for .NET Core/Angular/SQL APIs & UIs; Git; Azure DevOps pipelines
• Evidence capture for gates; Veracode/SAST/DAST integration per release
• Required Qualifications
• Minimum 8 years of QA and test automation experience
• Experience supporting structured release cycles
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Certifications
• ISTQB or CSQA (Preferred)
