Job Title: HR DATA QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST

Job Summary
The HR Data Quality Assurance Analyst is part of the Quality Assurance Unit under the HR Technical Section of the HR Service Center. This role reports to the HR Quality Assurance Team Lead. The HR Data Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the integrity of data stored in all HR systems used by CARE HQ. Responsibility also includes performing of quality assurance testing on system changes to ensure consistency and reliability of data. This role also ensures that all reports and dashboards generated by the HR Service Center are accurate before they are distributed to various stakeholders.
HR Data Integrity and Audit
Checks that the HR data collected adheres to the required formats, ranges, and logical rules. Conducts regular audit reports in HR systems to proactively detect data inconsistencies and data integrity issues Runs queries and analyzes data from HR systems to identify missing data, errors, and duplication. Examines the HR systems and identifies data problems, bugs, flaws and then reports findings to the HR Support Section for review and correction.
Quality Control for HR Reports and Analytics
Reviews reports generated by the HR Data and Reporting Unit prior to distribution to the intended recipients to ensure accuracy of the data captured versus the requested parameters. Reviews new report automations set up by the Data and Reporting Unit prior to deployment; also conducts regular checks on existing report automations to ensure that they are still working as intended. Examines report dashboards to ensure they are linked to the correct data source. Checks formulas and functions used in excel reports.
HR Data Regression Testing
Partners with HR Systems QA counterpart in conducting quality assurance checks. HR Data QA Analyst leads on the data testing side, while the HR Systems QA Analyst leads on the system testing side. Conducts quality assurance check by re-evaluating the HR system after changes have been made, such as updates or bug fixes, to ensure that data integrity remain intact. This testing verifies that new code does not adversely affect consistency of data outputs. Develops test plans and scripts to evaluate system updates, new and reconfigured automations, business processes, and workflows to ensure correct data output.
Data Quality Assurance Standards and Best Practices
Works with HR stakeholders to define clear and measurable data quality standards. Identifies and documents standards for data entry, maintenance and reporting. Designs and implements processes to ensure data accuracy at various stages including data input, processing and reporting. Creates and executes validation checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of data across HR systems. Analyzes data quality issues to determine root causes and recommend solutions for improvement. Maintains documentation of data quality processes and findings, and generates reports to communicate results to stakeholders. Develops and conducts training sessions for HR staff on best practices for data management and quality assurance.
HR Data Governance and Security
Partners with the Systems Development Unit and Data and Reporting Unit of the HR Technical Section, and coordinates with the Digital/IT department to implement adequate security controls for the proper safeguarding of confidential HR data. Ensures handling of HR data complies with relevant regulations and organizational data governance policies.
Testing Data Integration and Migration
Ensure that data transferred between systems and databases is accurate, complete, and consistent. Reviews data mapping and data conversions for HR systems integrations. Works with consultants and vendors to review file feed set up. Verifies file uploads for completeness and accuracy of data before they are entered into the HR system
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, data science, computer science, information technology, engineering or related field. At least 3 years of experience as a Data Quality Assurance Analyst, working specifically with HR data (employee information, benefits, payroll, etc.) Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel- Developer Mode, Macro, Visual Basic. Experience in reporting tools like SQL, IBM Cognos, Power BI etc. Experience using Performance Testing Tools and Test Automation Knowledgeable in Bug Tracking and Test Management Tools Knowledgeable in Regression Analysis and Testing. Adept at reports, reviewing the output and presenting the findings. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Spanish required)
Must be willing to work in the Eastern Time Zone (Atlanta), 8: 00 AM–5:00 PM ET
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using UKG Pro or Oracle HCM is a plus
