Senior Test Development Engineer

Contract and permanent opportunities

• Permanent salary £60,000-£65,000 plus bonus and benefits
• Contract hourly rate or £60-70 per hour inside IR35
• Onsite at either Livingston or Glenrothes

I am recruiting for a Senior Test Development Engineer on behalf of a well established engineering and defence technology business in Scotland. This role sits within a growing test engineering team and supports the full lifecycle of electronic test equipment. You will design, build, validate, and support test systems used across complex electronic products. This is a hands on role with strong technical depth and clear progression as the team continues to expand.

What you will be doing Design and develop electronic test equipment Support test solutions at board, sub system, and system level Lead hardware and software integration and fault finding Provide production and lifecycle support Own technical documentation and design reviews Mentor and support junior engineers Work closely with multi discipline engineering teams

What they are looking for Strong analogue and digital electronics experience Proven test development background Confident hardware troubleshooting skills Experience supporting designs into production Test software experience Able to support system integration and debug Eligible for UK security clearance to BPSS level or higher

Useful experience PXI or LXI test architectures LabVIEW, TestStand, CVI, or C# Mentor Graphics tools Measurement uncertainty Mixed signal, RF, power supply, or high speed digital design
