Salary: $110,000 - $135,000 / year
Role & seniority: Automation Engineer (mid-level, 3+ years in automation/controls)
Stack/tools: PLC/DCS platforms (Honeywell, Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi, etc.), HMI/SCADA, industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, Profibus)
Design, program, test, and troubleshoot automation and control systems
Develop/maintain PLC, DCS, HMI/SCADA applications; support commissioning, startup, and optimization
Diagnose control system failures, implement process improvements, ensure safety/quality/compliance; train personnel
3+ years in industrial automation/controls engineering
Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS, HMI/SCADA, and industrial protocols
Strong troubleshooting of electrical and control systems; ability to document standards and support cybersecurity/backup strategies
Electrical/Controls/Automation/Mechatronics Engineering degree (or equivalent technical degree with experience)
Experience across cross-functional teams; ability to develop data-driven solutions

Position Summary
The Automation Engineer designs, develops, implements, and maintains automated control systems to improve efficiency, safety, quality, and reliability of manufacturing or process operations. This role works closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize automated systems and support continuous improvement initiatives.
