We’re seeking a highly skilled QA professional who brings a unique blend of deep application expertise, quality assurance leadership, and agile delivery facilitation. In this role, you’ll provide top-tier support to both internal users and cross-functional teams while driving quality and continuous improvement across multiple mission-critical applications.
Job Summary
As a Quality Assurance / Scrum Master / Subject Matter Expert, you will play a central role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and continuous delivery of our software applications. You will act as the primary liaison for QA, operations, and user support matters, expertly manage testing and release processes, and serve as a trusted adviser on system behavior and quality assurance within an agile delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed manual test plans for functional validation, regression testing, and release validation.
- Maintain, enhance, and run automated test scripts using Selenium to support continuous testing strategies.
- Ensure all defects, enhancements, and suggestions are properly entered, tracked, and managed in JIRA throughout the lifecycle, from identification to closure.
Agile & Scrum Facilitation
- Serve as the Scrum Master for the team, facilitating agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and best practices while helping remove team impediments.
- Monitor team performance, identify areas for process improvement, and support continuous delivery goals.
Release & Change Management
- Lead and coordinate release/deployment activities, including preparing and submitting required documentation (e.g., DBCRs, SCRs, ServiceNow tickets) for review and approval.
- Represent the QA/operations team during production deployments to ensure accurate execution and hand-offs.
Application Expertise & Documentation
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of application portfolio, serving as the organization’s go-to subject matter expert.
- Update and maintain Confluence pages related to configuration, testing protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Analyze system behavior and data to support issue resolution, reporting, and decision-making.
User & Operational Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for advanced user support, resolving complex issues or escalating to development teams when necessary.
- Provide expert guidance for users beyond the scope of help desk support and ensure timely resolution of critical cases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance, manual and automated testing, and test automation tools (especially Selenium).
- Strong Scrum Master or Agile coaching experience with demonstrated success facilitating Agile teams.
- Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, and related SDLC release tools/processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
