Job Description
An employer for a large insurance company is looking for a Senior-Level Test Engineer to join their Billing Center project. Initially, this role will focus on improving and enhancing test automation suite while gaining domain knowledge in billing and testing release items (defects and enhancements). Long-term, they are looking for someone who can grow into a leadership role within the team. This engineer will lead test planning and strategy, design and execute complex test cases, and drive an automation-first approach integrated into CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities include manual and automated testing, defect management, and close collaboration with engineers and product teams. This person will process improvements, adopt best practices, and mentor junior team members while staying current with emerging technologies. This is a high-impact role with the chance to shape testing practices and influence strategic direction.
This role is 100% remote but must work core hours of operation (9am-3pm PST)

Skills And Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of hands-on Test Engineering experience, including both manual and automated testing.
Strong expertise in testing methodologies and defining scalable, efficient testing practices.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG) and CI/CD integration.
Advanced API testing skills using tools like Postman, SoapUI, and custom scripts.
Proficiency in defect tracking and resolution using industry-standard tools.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for complex issues and system-level challenges. Experience in a leadership role or have led a team
