Role & seniority: Multi-stack test engineer; contract position with emphasis on independent ownership and results
Stack/tools: Java, Groovy, Selenium, Geb, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTTP, RESTful web services; Jenkins, Git; CI/CD; SQL; AWS (cloud testing)
Design, implement, and maintain automated tests (unit, component, integration, functional, performance, interoperability) and front-end/webservice test automation
Influence software design for testability, security, and bug prevention; participate in code and test reviews within Scrum team
Collaborate to improve test coverage, release velocity, and production health; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
4–9 years in testing/automation for front-end and web services
Proficiency in OO languages (Java, Groovy, C#), HTTP/REST, Groovy/Geb, Java HttpClient
Experience with SQL, Jenkins, Git; strong TDD mindset
Ability to learn large systems quickly; self-directed with initiative; detail-oriented
Cloud application testing experience (AWS preferred); strong collaboration with remote/international teams
Experience with testability/security-focused testing practices

Responsibilities
Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote accurate software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability and security Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests Support the team in crafting reliable, portable, accurate and trustworthy tests, and in integrating them into CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health Design and develop test automation for front-end applications and webservices using Groovy/Geb and Java/HttpClient Participate in application code and test code reviews with rest of the Scrum team
Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field
Experience with SQL Programming and Data use
4 to 9 years of experience testing and automating front-end and webservice applications
Working experience with: Object Oriented Programming Languages (Java, C#, Groovy, etc.); HTTP; RESTful web services; Jenkins; Git
Cloud Application Testing Experience (AWS Preferred)
