Role & seniority: Verification & Validation Engineer, full-time (entry to mid-level expected; focused on V&V of railway systems)

Define V&V methodology and create test plans/descriptions for deliverables
Perform, document, and report verification, integration, and test activities; collaborate on safety demonstrations
Coordinate with Safety Assurance Manager and other departments; set up/configure assets; support Test & Commissioning for site tests
University degree in Engineering (transportation systems, electronics, telecom, software, CS or equivalent)
Basic railway signalling principles
Strong analytical skills; understanding of software coding
English proficiency
Basic knowledge of ITC hardware architectures and related networks
Experience in V&V projects, safety demonstrations, or test automation (not explicitly required)

Could you be the full-time Verification & Validation Engineer in Bucharest we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your verification and validation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, adaptable, and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll perform Verification & Validation activities related to Interlocking & ETCS (European Train Control Systems) for Central and East Europe Projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Managers, Technical leads, Safety teams, Installation, and Test & Commissioning), performing testing and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of defining and executing test plans, but also collaborating with safety and technical experts to ensure compliance with standards.
Defining verification methodology for selected deliverables, as requested by the V&V strategy Creating test plans and test descriptions for in-house activities Performing and reporting on allocated verification, integration, and test activities Collaborating with the Safety Assurance Manager to share and justify results for safety demonstration Interfacing with experts in other departments to align on selected V&V activity methodologies Specifying, procuring, developing, setting up, and configuring assets such as test benches and instrumentation Following up with Test & Commissioning (T&C) for tests exported to site execution
All About You
University Degree in Engineering (Transportation Systems, Electronics, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent) Basic knowledge of railway signalling principles Good analytical skills Understanding and experience in software coding Proficiency in English Basic knowledge of ITC hardware architectures (client/server, workstation/Blade, IP networking, routing, operating systems)
