Role & seniority: Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer; mid-level (2+ years in V&V or system engineering) within railway safety-critical domain.
Stack/tools: CENELEC standards (EN 50126/28/29; ideally EN 50657); train systems (e.g., TCMS, signaling, interlocking); requirements and test management tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jira); data/KPI tracking; on-site and in-house testing instrumentation.
Define and implement the Project V&V strategy in line with CENELEC standards; develop verification methods, test plans, and requirements-to-tests traceability.
Coordinate with Test & Commissioning teams for site activities; perform and report verification, integration, and test tasks on-site and in-house.
Collaborate with Safety Assurance Manager for safety-related deliverables; apply standard processes for certification/validation; manage test assets, data for KPIs, and configuration/change control.
Master’s degree in engineering (systems/electrical/electronic or similar).
2+ years in V&V or system engineering in railway or safety-critical domains.
Strong knowledge of EN 50126/28/29 (and ideally EN 50657); familiarity with at least one train system (TCMS, signaling, interlocking).
Experience with requirements and test management tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jira).
Analytical, communicative, customer-oriented; proactive, autonomous, goal-oriented; fluent in German and English.
This position is planned for various locations including Mannheim, Salzgitter, Kassel, Berlin, München.
