Role & seniority: Senior Gameplay QA Analyst (5+ years in QA with 1–2+ years in leadership/senior capacity)
Stack/tools: Gameplay QA for large-scale systems; experience with JIRA, TestRail or similar; familiarity with Unreal Engine or Unity; strong test planning and documentation
Plan and execute complex test strategies for gameplay systems (combat, AI, progression, UI, UX)
Collaborate with designers/developers to identify risks, propose mitigations, and maintain test coverage across features
Create/maintain test cases, review QA documentation, mentor junior analysts, and report actionable insights to stakeholders
Deep understanding of gameplay systems and player experience; strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication abilities
Experience writing/ executing test plans for complex gameplay; risk identification and mitigation
Proficiency with bug tracking/documentation tools (JIRA, TestRail) and familiarity with game engines (Unreal, Unity)

Job Description CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior Gameplay QA Analyst to join our Boston studio working on Project Orion, the next game in the Cyberpunk franchise. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the highest gameplay quality by identifying, analyzing, and verifying issues related to mechanics, combat systems, progression, AI, UI, interactions, and overall player experience. You will collaborate closely with designers, programmers, and the broader QA team to maintain gameplay consistency, technical integrity, and player engagement throughout the game’s development.
Working mode: in-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity.
