Job Summary As a Simulation Test Engineer, you will be integral to the Validation and Verification (V&V) of our autonomous vehicle software. You will be responsible for translating engineering requirements into synthetic driving simulations using tools like Applied Intuition. This role is focused on creating a comprehensive suite of scenarios to test and improve our AV system's performance, collaborating closely with Systems, Safety and Autonomous Software teams. You will report key findings, troubleshoot execution issues, and directly contribute to identifying system safety limits and functional gaps across various driving scenarios and operational design domains (ODD). Essential Responsibilities Create synthetic simulations from requirements and inputs from Systems, Safety, and Autonomous Software engineering teams Add and configure custom observers to evaluate simulation pass/fail criteria. Operate Applied Intuition Sim software and other simulation tools Follow established procedures and techniques to maintain high-quality simulation standards. Report the results of completed simulations back to the requester, summarizing key findings and outcomes. Troubleshoot errors or other issues with simulation execution.
