Role & seniority: Quality Assurance/Quality Manager (senior) in a motor manufacturing and product assembly group.

Top 3 responsibilities

  1. Oversee in-process and final quality control to ensure adherence to standards.

  2. Lead management of internal quality incidents and timely resolution/documentation.

  3. Analyze customer complaints and implement containment; lead audits and maintain quality system documents.

Must-have skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science-related field.

  • Proficient English (reading/writing/speaking).

  • Strong knowledge of 8D and core quality tools (PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP); willingness to travel extensively (domestic and international).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with additional tools (7 QC tools, DOE, 5-Whys, FTA); familiarity with quality documentation lifecycle; prior QA leadership or audit experience.

  • Location & work type: Based in Hong Kong (HQ) with production in Southern China and Mexico; offices in US/Korea; extensive domestic and international travel required. On-site involvement with global suppliers/customers.

We are a well-established motor manufacturing and product assembly group headquartered in Hong Kong, with production plants in Southern China and Mexico, and offices in the United States and Korea. Due to our continued success and growth, an excellent career opportunity has arisen. We are looking for a high-caliber candidate to fill the above position.

Responsibilities

Oversee in-process and final quality control to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Lead and support the management of internal quality incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.

Direct and facilitate analysis of customer complaints, implementing internal containment actions to mitigate issues.

Lead the creation, editing, and updating of quality system documents, including CP, FIS, and WI.

Organize and conduct training for subordinates on quality measurement tools and quality control principles.

Lead and perform annual MSA, SIR, LPA, and product audits.

Direct efforts to follow up on incoming material defects, ensuring swift resolution.

Monitor and address issues related to homemade components, ensuring quality compliance.

Coordinate and collaborate with the AMSSJ team for support on quality-related queries.

Timely report any major obstacles encountered on-site to higher management for prompt resolution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science-related field.

Proficient in English, with strong capabilities in reading, writing, and speaking.

Familiarity with 8D problem-solving methodology and the five core tools (PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP). Knowledge of additional quality tools such as 7 QC tools, Design of Experiments (DOE), 5-Whys, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is preferred.

Open to extensive business travel to supplier and customer sites, both domestically and internationally.
