Gather, review, and refine test requirements from stakeholders; execute and support V&V testing for power electronics and motor control systems

Document, communicate test results and schedule status; troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis of failures

Description
PV&V Electrification Test Engineer
Location: Fargo, ND
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Responsibilities
Gather, review, and refine test requirements from internal and external stakeholders. Execute and support product verification and validation (V&V) testing for power electronics and motor control systems. Document and communicate test results, issues, and schedule status. Troubleshoot and assist with root-cause analysis of system and test failures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing meets product specifications. Build strong working relationships with customers and project teams. Travel domestically 1-2 times per year as needed. Support departmental initiatives as required.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Agricultural, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of embedded controllers, motor control, and design validation. Understanding of high-voltage safety practices. Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
Preferred Experience
Product development and motor control software (PU2). Dyno testing and use of debugging tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters). Microcontrollers, communication networks (CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/485), and protocols (J1939, ISO11783, TCP/IP).
