Role & seniority: Hardware Integration & Test Engineer III (lead/senior individual contributor) in a small, mission-driven aerospace team.
Stack/tools: Hardware test and validation; lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, environmental chambers); test infrastructure design (fixtures, cables, interfaces); design verification/acceptance procedures; basic Linux knowledge is a plus; working with hardware, software, and manufacturing cross-functionally.
Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and detailed test plans to validate functionality and system behavior.
Author Design Verification and Acceptance Test Procedures; lead failure investigations and root-cause analysis; present findings.
Design, maintain, and optimize test infrastructure; support integration and system testing; collaborate across hardware, software, and manufacturing to improve test effectiveness.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years in hardware integration, testing, or related roles.
Hands-on lab experience with test equipment; ability to read schematics and troubleshoot CCAs.
Experience testing/integrating complex hardware and documenting test results; ability to manage multiple test efforts concurrently.
Active U.S. security clearance.
Knowledge of Linux environments.

Develop Comprehensive Test Strategies: Identify testable product and program requirements and develop detailed test plans to validate functionality, performance, and system behavior.
Author Verification & Acceptance Procedures: Write Design Verification and Acceptance Test Procedures to support engineering development, qualification, and production testing.
Design Test Infrastructure: Design, develop, and maintain test fixtures, cables, interfaces, and custom test setups for new and evolving hardware products.
Lead Failure Investigation & Debug: Investigate test failures, debug hardware and software test setups, identify root causes, and present findings and recommendations during Test Review Boards.
Support Integration & System Testing: Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineering teams to support product integration, system-level testing, and complex troubleshooting efforts.
Improve Test Effectiveness: Partner with manufacturing operations to improve test readability, reliability, repeatability, and overall test infrastructure alignment with product requirements.
Advanced Hardware Testing: Developing and executing complex hardware and system-level tests for integrated electronic systems.
Root Cause Analysis: Diagnosing failures through schematic review, CCA troubleshooting, and methodical debugging techniques.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Working independently while coordinating effectively across engineering, software, and manufacturing teams.
Technical Communication: Documenting, tracking, and clearly presenting technical issues, test results, and corrective actions to stakeholders.
