DESCRIPTION
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Work with Software Development Engineers in the decomposition of requirements and the development of automated test cases. Review software design documents and code to understand functionality. Deliver Python automation libraries for use in test development. Coordinate with various development teams to re-use existing code libraries and models where possible. Design and maintain various test platforms and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Systems. Automate and execute tests. Log, report, and analyze root cause defects. Upgrade and maintain test platforms. Support end customer, manufacturing, and field issue resolution. Develop fixtures and associated Python infrastructure for ground-truth performance measurements. Create comprehensive validation strategies by reviewing engineering requirement documents and datasheets. Develop and enforce performance specifications. Triage bug reports created by internal engineers and external customers. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $149,365

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation. 1 year of experience
with each of the following skills is required: Utilizing Logic Analyzer to validate peripheral driver sequences. Developing automated firmware test suites and associated infrastructure using Python. Creating comprehensive test plans from engineering requirement documents and datasheets. Conducting firmware stress testing, regression testing, and integration testing. Validating and debugging I2C, I2S, and TDM communication protocols. Utilizing signal processing techniques on analog sensor data to quantify performance. Triaging internal and external customer bug reports by investigating system logs. Implementing communication layers in Python between host and Device Under Test (DUT).
