General Summary

• The Camera Product Functional Test Team is looking for a driven engineer to be part of a team that works on the commercialization of cutting-edge Camera technologies and delivering amazing user experiences on Qualcomm’s Android platform. You will interact in a team environment with cross-functional areas including other test automation developers, software developers and systems engineers. The role requires you to develop test strategies, test cases and test automation, along with on-device test execution and accurate test reporting. Flexibility in work assignments and thoroughness in project management are crucial. Successful candidate must have strong communication skills, be an effective team player and be able to work independently.

Skills/experience

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and develop test strategies to validate industry-leading technology in Camera such as HDR, Multi-Camera processing and various other system features.
• Evaluate technologies, systems, and devices through testing, logging, and analysis.
• Design and develop automation systems for test.
• Ensure that the test automation is always running with the latest guidelines and features.
• Debug test failures and collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
• Collaborate with multimedia technology teams to leverage common test methods and frameworks.
• Actively study user experience to improve customer experience on Qualcomm MM solution across ARM based chipset product.
• Should be able to optimize & effectively manage time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• Strong understanding of test methodology.
• Good understanding of camera technology
• Good understanding of the software development cycle.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills
• Expertise in Python programming
• Good knowledge of C/C++ programming
• Proven experience in test automation development, source code management, continuous integration, and script programming, test framework development.
• Versioning Tool Knowledge of Git, Perforce.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
