Role & seniority: QA Engineer (mid-senior, 5+ years in QA)

Plan, design, and execute manual tests across web, mobile, APIs, and integrations; identify defects early

As a QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of TUMO’s software products. Working within a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, designers, and support specialists, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing tests, identifying issues early, and helping deliver world-class digital products.

Responsibilities - What will you do?
Plan, design, and execute manual test cases throughout the development lifecycle. Report, track, and verify defect fixes, ensuring issues are resolved before release. Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues. Contribute to regression test suites and collaborate with automation engineers to expand coverage. Test across different platforms and systems, including web, mobile, APIs, and integrations. Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and designers. Work with the product team during the design phase to refine acceptance criteria and identify issues early. Conduct risk analysis and prioritization to decide what to test first and where quality risks are highest. Mentor QA team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of quality. Drive improvements in QA processes, tools, and practices.

Requirements
What will you need?
Experience & Education
5+ years of experience in QA Engineering roles (manual focus, with some experience in automation). Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Professional Skills
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing concepts, and best practices. Solid experience in writing and executing test plans and test cases. Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail). Experience with bug tracking and project collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Understanding of CI/CD workflows and how QA integrates into pipelines (e.g., GitHub). API testing using Postman or similar tools. Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) is a plus. Understanding of performance testing concepts; experience with tools like JMeter or Gatling is a plus.
Soft Skills
Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
