Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 / year
Role & seniority: Test Engineer (senior level, 10+ years in test engineering) with military background in Signals Intelligence and/or Electronic Warfare.
Stack/tools: RF theory and spectrum management; SIGINT/EW systems and platforms; embedded processing systems; software/hardware test procedures; test environments; documentation and reporting tools. Familiarity with DoDI 5000.89, DoDM 5000.100 and T&E guides preferred.
Top 3 responsibilities
Lead analysis, evaluation, and performance verifications of hardware/software under test; develop and execute test plans, procedures, and acceptance testing.
Create comprehensive test documentation; present test strategies, plans, and results to internal/external stakeholders; coordinate multi-PEO/PM support.
Develop/test environments, fault analysis, integrate test structures to software/hardware levels, and sustain fielded test environments; assess new technologies for maturity.
Must-have skills
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; 10+ years in test engineering.

Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer with strong military background in Signals Intelligence and/or Electronic Warfare. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in RF Theory, spectrum operation and signal analysis applying this knowledge to test evaluate and validate advanced systems in mission driven environments in support of Product Lead Strategic Spectrum Warfare
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead analysis, evaluation, and performance verifications of hardware and software systems under test. Support the development of test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability matrices, test reports, test flow, and test case design and implementation. Lead formal systems acceptance testing activities. Present test strategies, plans, and results to internal and external customers through formal and informal reports and briefings. Produce comprehensive test documentation Software/hardware testing, test environment development, fault analysis, Integrate and test systems to the software/hardware level. Document testing issues and failures and perform analysis of test results. Evaluate new technologies and assess their maturity for implementation. Sustain and maintain test environments for fielded systems. Coordinate support across multiple PEOs and PMs. Other duties may be assigned

Requirements
Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility 10 or more years’ experience in test engineering. Bachelors Degree in Engineering; BS in Electrical Engineering preferred. Strong foundation in RF Theory and practical application in operational environments Hands on experience with SIGINT/EW Systems, tools and platforms. Proven ability to design and execute technical test procedures Experience with spectrum management, electronic attack/defense or airborne/ground-based EW Systems Prior instructor or training experience in RF/EW/SIGINT disciplines. Experienced in engineering aspects of system design and functionality. Experience dissecting system function(s) for application in system test(s). Requires demonstrated engineering skills and capabilities to implement and execute comprehensive system testing. Experience in integrating and testing and analysis of embedded processing systems to the software/hardware level. Experience in communications systems, software languages/software testing, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, and/or mechanical design and analysis. Experience with requirements analysis and verification. Experiencing in developing test strategies, plans, reports, etc. Experience with software testing methodologies and tools. Experience working collaboratively with government personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Preferred Experience/skills
Military Experience – Seeking candidates with prior U.S. Military Experience in Signals Intelligence or Electronic Warfare. Relevant backgrounds include Army MOS 35N, 29 Series strongly preferred, experience with Army Cyber Command or Military Intelligence Brigades, EW SMEs. Ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts to process analyze and visualize data sets. Experience with PEO IEW&S programs and systems. Experience with testing frameworks and applications. Experience with DoDI 5000.89, DoDM 5000.100 and/or Test and Evaluation Enterprise Guidebook.

The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements. This position requires 25% travel to Army and contractor locations within CONUS
The salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $180,000.
