The Software Technical Specialist plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business users and IT staff, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration and tracking and coordinating testing in the UAT environment.
This position will particularly focus on improving batch reporting and processing ensuring that all requirements are thoroughly worked through and documented correcting issues created by moving to cloud-based environments, and further implementing updated interfaces for the public.
This role supports the Software Quality Assurance / UAT and client IT teams by performing a variety of tasks to ensure software products meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Testing and Validation: Manual and automated software testing. This includes executing test cases, identifying bugs, and logging defects with clear and concise details.
Organization and Planning: Organize testing schedules, track project activities, and ensure that testing artifacts, such as test plans and test results, are well-documented and maintained.
Deployment Support: Deployment of software by helping with pre- and post-deployment checks and collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions.
Communication: Communicates testing status, issues, and results to team members and other stakeholders.
Output Comparison: Conducts comparisons of software outputs against expected results or against previous versions to identify and report discrepancies.
