About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of data integrity and supporting the success of data-driven initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Designers, Data Quality Analysts and Product Owners to implement robust quality assurance processes and solutions.
Design, create, and maintain automated and manual test scripts and validation routines to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence Collaborate with data engineers, data designers, and product owners to identify and address quality issues and implement corrective actions Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure quality is maintained throughout the development lifecycle Develop and maintain quality documentation, including test plans, test cases, test execution and test closure reports Support data integration and ETL processes with a focus on data quality and reliability Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality engineering and big data
What You'll Bring
Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, QA Engineer, or similar role in a big data environment. Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, practices, and tools. Proficiency in SQL and data querying languages. Experience with PySpark, Python and Databricks. Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in agile teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
