We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with over 2 years of experience in manual and automation testing within the e-commerce industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of eCommerce websites and platforms through both manual testing and automated testing frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to identify issues early in the software development lifecycle and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scripts. Perform functional, regression, smoke, and performance testing of eCommerce websites and web applications. Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using a bug tracking system (e. g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Collaborate with development and product teams to understand business requirements and provide feedback on test coverage and product quality. Create and manage automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools. Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc. ) to ensure continuous quality. Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing using tools like BrowserStack to ensure website compatibility and responsiveness. Analyze test results, generate reports, and communicate findings to relevant teams. Collaborate with teams during sprint planning, grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure testing requirements are clearly defined. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure alignment with business requirements. Ensure compliance with industry best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in software quality assurance for eCommerce platforms.
Manual Testing: Strong experience in testing web applications, websites, and e-commerce features like checkout, cart, and payment integrations.
Automation Testing: Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG/JUnit, Appium (for mobile testing), and Postman (API testing).
Cross-Browser Testing: Familiarity with BrowserStack or Sauce Labs for testing across multiple browsers and devices.
Bug Tracking: Proficient in JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools for defect tracking and test management.
CI/CD: Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Version Control: Knowledge of Git/GitHub for version control and code repository management.
Performance Testing: Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprints, and working closely with development teams.
Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly identify and isolate defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
