Role Expectations
Define and drive test automation strategy aligned with business goals. Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium and Java. Ensure best practices in test design, coding standards, and automation architecture. Review automation code and provide technical guidance to team members.
Oversee end-to-end testing: functional, regression, integration, and automation testing. Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. Analyze test results, identify risks, and proactively address quality issues. Ensure proper defect tracking, reporting, and root cause analysis. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA automation and manual testers. Allocate tasks, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of QA milestones. Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support team growth. Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team. Act as a QA point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular status updates, quality metrics, and risk assessments.
Participate in release planning, sprint reviews, and
- 11 - 12 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java (23 years minimum).
- Experience in test automation framework design (Hybrid / Data-driven / POM).
- Proven experience in team handling / technical leadership (2+ years).
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with TestNG / JUnit / Maven / Gradle.
- CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, Git, etc.
- Exposure to API automation (RestAssured, Postman).
- Experience with performance or security testing tools.
- Prior experience in a QA Manager / Lead / Technical Manager role.
