Role & seniority: Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) / linguistic perfectionist, early-to-mid career; develops into an LQA expert across projects from indie to AAA.
Stack / tools: databases, spreadsheets, testing tools, MS Office; professional bug databases; translation systems and test case management tools.
Test games using Universally Speaking LQA methods; act as guardian of language for all in-game text.
Report, track, and verify linguistic issues and fixes; write and refine test cases; document findings.
Collaborate with testers, translators, and developers early in the process; optimize workflows and raise standards.
Exceptional attention to detail; native-like proficiency with English (written and spoken) and strong language skills.
Passion for games; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team.
Proactive, curious, and technically nimble; organized and accurate.
Right to work in Spain; onsite presence in Madrid.
Experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading; familiarity with translation systems.

What you'll be doing
You'll work side by side with talented testers, translators, and developers, reporting issues clearly and working relentlessly to make sure they're fixed. If you're motivated by detail, passionate about games, and ready to be part of something that shapes how players experience them you'll fit right in You'll be the guardian of language in every game you touch making sure every word, menu, and in-game message feels natural, accurate, and culturally right You'll test games like a pro, following our proven Universally Speaking LQA methods that define the industry standard for linguistic quality. Every detail counts, and you'll make sure nothing slips through
Your reports will make a difference: you'll use professional bug databases to describe linguistic issues clearly, track progress, and verify that fixes hit the mark You'll evolve from tester to trusted LQA expert across everything from indie gems to AAA blockbusters owning your projects and mastering the full testing cycle from start to finish You'll write and refine test cases, document your findings, and set the bar for best practices in LQA You'll collaborate with developers and fellow testers early in the process, helping shape how each game's localisation is tested and improved And beyond that, you'll constantly look for smarter, faster, better ways to do things taking initiative to optimize workflows, share knowledge, and raise the standard for everyone around you

You speak LANGUAGE like it's second nature and handle English with confidence, both written and spoken Games are your thing you live them, breathe them, and you care how they sound, look, and feel. You thrive in a team that moves fast and works under pressure, never losing focus or quality along the way You're proactive, determined, and naturally curious about how things work. You use that curiosity to make improvements and find better ways to deliver great results
You're nimble with tech: comfortable using databases, spreadsheets, testing tools, and the usual suspects in MS Office. Organisation and accuracy are your companions And of course you already have the right to work in Spain. This role needs you in the office, part of the action, not remote
