Role & seniority: Software Test Automation Engineer (mid-level) on the Quality Assurance team
Stack/tools: C#, .NET, Gherkin, Python, Selenium/Playwright; Azure DevOps; Docker; Zephyr and/or Selenium for test automation; UI and API testing; edge devices + cloud portal
Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI and API layers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify/resolve defects; design/test plans and test cases
Analyze test results, provide feedback to development, and continuously improve testing processes
Degree in computer science or related field; prior software test engineering experience
Knowledge of software testing methodologies; strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Strong communication/collaboration skills; hands-on with test automation tools and the listed tech stack
Experience with cloud environments; API/UI testing; hardware-related/embedded testing

The role
We are currently looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer to join our Development team. As a key member of the Quality Assurance team, you will work closely with our scrum teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our products. Our solutions form an ecosystem, combining edge computing on our physical Handheld and fixed acoustic monitoring devices and an online Portal with cloud computing. As Sorama continues to grow and innovate, the complexity of our products increases, making a strong focus on product quality more important than ever.
In this role, you’ll play an important part in improving our testing processes and helping us deliver reliable products that make a difference.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute automated test scripts to test UI and API layers Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects Participate in the design and development of test plans, test cases and physical test setups. Analyze test results and provide feedback to development teams Continuously improving testing processes and methodologies
What we are looking for?
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field Prior experience as a software test engineer Understanding of software testing methodologies Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience with test automation tools/environments like Zephyr and/or Selenium Programming experience and comfortable working with our tech stack (C#, .NET, Gherkin, Python, Selenium/Playwright, Azure DevOps, Docker)
Nice to have: experience with cloud environments, API/UI testing, hardware-related/embedded testing You live in the Eindhoven area or at a reasonable distance to be able to commute to our office in Eindhoven at least 2-3 days a week. You are authorized to work in The Netherlands
